Has Williamsburg's 184 Kent Avenue Become a Car Killer?

Once is an unfortunate accident, but twice does make one start to wonder what the heck is going on at 184 Kent? We're not sure what fell on our friend here, but since the building is undergoing a massive rehab, we have to say that it was very big, fell from a great height, or both! Photographer Noah Kalina spotted this scene on Tuesday and sent us the above shot, and the interesting thing is that last week, Burg blogger INSIJS captured a shot of a shattered back window right outside the building. Whatever is going on, the building is attracting an astounding number of complaints to the Department of Buildings, including one that may be the situation above: A caller referring to a car damaged by a "concrete block that fell." The inspector's report says "no damaged car at location." While this all gets sorted out, perhaps parking (and walking) on the other side of Kent Avenue is in order.
