    Melissa Auf Der Maur brings OOOM to Housing Works.

    MULTITALENTED: Ex-Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur has been hard at work on Out of Our Minds (OOOM), a multimedia trifecta (album + film + graphic novel), and she comes to Housing Works Bookstore Café to show off two out of three: The Tony Stone-directed film, and highlights from the music. 7PM. 

    SING SING: Up With People: Cheery 40+-year success story founded on peaceful, utopian ideals of brotherhood--or scary, cult-like right-wing army hiding behind perfect teeth and killer harmonies? Tribeca Cinemas’ Doc Series continues with director Lee Storey’s “Smile ‘Til It Hurts: The Up With People Story” at 7:30PM. 

    HOW TO SOBER UP YOUR DRAGON: Tribeca’s Macao Trading Co. hosts the Drunken Dragon Festival tonight, an event supposedly designed around feting a monk who saved the people of Macao from the plague—or something. All we know is early colonial or Chinese costumes are required, which you’ll wear while you sip themed drinks and take in a re-creation of a dragon slaying, and much more. All on a Monday night, no less. 8PM
