Call it a super coincidence: Two mothers who happen to work in the same Bedford medical collections office have sons who play on opposing teams in the Super Bowl.

For years, Diane Browning and Joyce Nance have swapped stories about their sons, who both dreamed of playing in the NFL.

"She would tell me her stories, I’d tell her mine,” Browning said. "We support each other. We talk all the time."

Last year, Nance’s son Dimitri, once a star running back at Trinity High School in Euless and later at Arizona State, got picked up by the Green Bay Packers.

"First of all I tell God, 'Thank you,'” Nance said. “I think it's a blessing, and I tell Dmitri he's a blessed child for how things worked out for him."

Also last year, Dorian Brooks, who played high school football in Virginia and went on to James Madison College, ended up on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Against the odds, both rookies are now headed to the Super Bowl.

"I mean they're at the Super Bowl, can you believe that?" Browning asked.

Don’t look for either to actually play in the Super Bowl. Brooks is on the practice squad and, as a young rookie, Nance will probably stay on the sidelines.

But their mothers will both be here, to root for them.

"I'm just so excited, I just don't know,” Nance said.

Added Browning: "I'll probably be screaming my head off."

And which team will win?

"Of course, the Green Bay Packers,” Nance predicted.

"There's no rivalry because we've both won,” Browning said.

But she quickly added with a laugh, “But the Steelers are going to take that ring, OK? That's all I've got to say about that."
