Another day of crime in DFW.
A passenger at John F. Kennedy Airport was arrested Thursday after entering a restricted area to smoke a cigarette, then fleeing from Port Authority police, authorities said.
The male passenger, who has not been identified, breached security at around 3 p.m Wednesday at Gate 14 of Terminal 8.
Police say he entered through a restricted area to smoke a cigarette, which set off the alarms.
When Port Authority officers approached him, the suspect started running. He was quickly tackled and arrested.
The charges are pending.
