NJ Police: Stolen Caterpillar Truck Worth $50K

Police in a Jersey Shore community are investigating a stolen construction vehicle worth $50,000.

Toms River Police say a 1994 Caterpillar machine was stolen from the parking lot of a BJ's on Route 37 West sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.

The equipment was being stored in the lot for winter snow operations, said Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy. Anyone moving the truck would have needed a key.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Toms River Police.
