Suspect Sought in Armed Robberies at Harlem Public Housing Complexes

Police are looking for a suspect wanted in three armed robberies at two public housing complexes Saturday in Harlem.

The suspect first followed a 52-year-old man into an elevator at the Taft Houses on Fifth Avenue and East 115th Street at about 4:45 p.m., police said. He allegedly took $300 at knifepoint and fled.

Police said the suspect then followed a 51-year-old man into an elevator at the Johnson Houses at about 6:10 p.m. He allegedly took $50 and fled.

Just 20 minutes later, police say the suspect went back to the Taft Houses and followed a 17-year-old male victim into a stairwell and stole $320 at knifepoint.
