Serial Subway Masturbator Approaches Women to Ask Questions: NYPD

An alleged serial subway masturbator has been approaching women on the train to ask them questions before exposing himself, police say.

The suspect is wanted in five incidents on the subway in Manhattan since late March, police say.

The first incident linked to the suspect happened at about 1 a.m. Monday, March 28, when the man approached a 27-year-old woman riding the F train and asked if it was an express train, police said. He began to masturbate under his sweatshirt, then exited at Rockefeller Center.

On the morning of Friday, April 1, a 23-year-old woman caught him masturbating on the 1 train before he left at the Greenwich and Rector Street subway station, police said.

Later that month, on the evening of Friday, April 29, he approached two different women within minutes, both on E trains. He asked one woman a question, then exposed himself to her before exiting at Canal Street, police said. He then sat in front of another woman on the train and masturbated in front of her before fleeing at Chambers Street station.

Several hours later, at about 1 a.m. on Saturday, he was riding the N train when he asked a 30-year-old woman a question. She told police she noticed him masturbating underneath his sweatshirt before he left at Cortland Street subway station.

Police say the suspect is 33-year-old Kenneth Wiley, described as about 6 feet tall, 195 pounds, with the words "Browns" tattooed on his hand and "Brooklyn" tattooed on his arm. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, a black hat and black jeans.
