A New York City subway conductor is accused of punching a teenage passenger in the face after the two got into an argument.
Authorities say conductor Thomas Christopher was arrested following the altercation on the southbound R train near or at the 36th Street stop in Queens.
The conductor was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the 35-year-old employee has worked with the agency since 2007.
The MTA said it did not immediately have further details on the employee's background or the incident.
Police say it was about 3:50 a.m. Sunday when Christopher and an 18-year-old male got into an argument, which then turned physical.
