A six-story Soho building was evacuated Thursday afternoon after people said it was shaking.
Officials said there were complaints the six-story building near Spring and Vandam streets was shaking and vibrating.
Residents were allowed to return to the building later in the evening after investigators determined the building was stable.
Investigators are looking into whether construction next to the building played a role.
