The victim awoke as the suspect was trying to rape her and fought back

    Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a 21-year-old Brooklyn woman's home over the weekend and tried to rape her while she was sleeping. Rob Schmitt has the story.

    Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a 21-year-old Brooklyn woman's home over the weekend and tried to rape her while she was sleeping. 

    The suspect forced his way into the woman's home near Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday and climbed on top of her.

    The victim woke up as the suspect was trying to rape her and fought back. They struggled, and the suspect darted out a window.

    Surveillance video shows the man believed to be the suspect heading down the street, wheeling a bicycle, and looking behind him as if to see if he's being pursued.

    Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a 21-year-old Brooklyn woman's home over the weekend and tried to rape her while she was sleeping.

    Minor injuries were reported.
