A man driving with a suspended license plowed his car into a Queens church early Tuesday, destroying a wall and scattering bricks and debris on the pavement, police said.
Authorities say the driver, who is in his 40s, was on Beach Channel Drive when he swerved to avoid another car and crashed into the church.
The church is being renovated and officials say the structure was not compromised by the accident.
The driver was taken to Jamaica Hospital with a head injury.
Authorities say he will be arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.
