The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday. Environmental and health experts issue air quality advisories when air pollution is expected to exceed accepted levels.

Elevated ozone levels can cause shortness of breath, chest pain and coughing. People are advised to limit strenuous outdoor activities.
