An Easter Sunday marred by two pit bull attacks. One of the victims... was a three-year-old boy. David Ushery reports.
A 3-year-old Brooklyn boy was seriously injured when he was mauled by the family's pit bull.
Police say it happened just before 1 p.m. Sunday in the boy's Bensonhurst home.
The medium-sized female dog, named Gucci, became agitated when the boys parents began to argue, law-enforcement sources said.
Police say the boy, who was bit in the face, was rushed to Lutheran Hospital where he was listed in serious but stable condition. Police did not say what provoked the attack.
Police say the dog was removed to New York City Animal Care and Control. She will be observed for 10 days before it is determined what to do with her, authorities said.
