Police are responding to an overturned crane at the foot of West Street on Monmouth Beach. It overturned during the course of construction repair in an area damaged by Sandy.

A crane has toppled into the water at Monmouth Beach in New Jersey, officials say.

Chopper 4 captured the overturned crane at the foot of West Street. The crane was on a pier and it tipped over during construction repair in an area damaged by Sandy, Monmouth Police said. 

There were no reports of any injuries.

State Police were on the scene.
