Robbers Toss Bottle at Bronx Woman, Slam Her Against Railing: NYPD

Police are looking for two robbers they say were caught on camera attacking an 18-year-old woman outside her apartment building in the Bronx, throwing a bottle at her, putting her in a chokehold and shoving her against a railing.

Surveillance video shows 18-year-old Brittany Laesure walking down an alleyway toward her building on College Avenue on March 12. The two suspects and a third man can be seen following her.

Police say that before Laesure walked up a stairway, the men demanded her cellphone. Video shows her replying to the men, then walking away.

Then, one of the men can be seen throwing a bottle at Laesure, who runs up the stairs.

The men chase after her. The robbers can be seen putting her in a chokehold and slamming her waist over a railing, while the third man watches the attack.

"They came out that way and they tried to throw me over a rail saying, 'Kill her, kill her, kill her,' and then I went in the building," Laesure told News 4's Tracie Strahan.

Police say the men tried to take Laesure's phone, but weren't able to free the device from her clutch. They ran away after the attack.

Laesure wasn't hurt.

"I hope they get them, because if not, they'll probably do this to other people too," she said.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
