Multiple social media accounts reported that the fire was in the westbound lanes near the Hamilton Avenue exit in Gowanus.

There were heavy delays westbound as a result of the blaze, and gridlock traffic stretched well beyond the area of the fire, video shows.

It’s unclear what caused the fire or if anyone was injured. Fire trucks were at the scene dousing the truck with water and it appears the fire was brought under control.

People on Twitter were reporting significant traffic delays as late as 3:15 p.m.
