Dying Man With Gunshot Wounds Found in Car Parked Outside of Hospital: NYPD

A 46-year-old man died after he was found shot multiple times in his car outside of a Brooklyn hospital, the NYPD said.

Police responded to reports of a man shot at Atlantic and Albany avenues in Crown Heights — right in front of Interfaith Hospital. When officers arrived there around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, they found Fitzgerald McBride in his car. He had been shot in the arm and chest, police said.

Emergency responders rushed him inside of the hospital, where he died. His family has been notified of his death.

Police are now trying to figure out the circumstances that led up to McBride's death. It is unclear if he was shot outside of the hospital or was shot somewhere else and wound up there.

The NYPD said there have been no arrests in the case and that an investigation is ongoing. They are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
