Service has been restored to the Long Island Rail Road's Port Washington branch after a man was struck by a train late Sunday — hours after another man was struck and killed by a train on the Babylon branch.
On the Port Washington branch, a man was struck west of the Woodside station sometime before 12:45 a.m. Monday after he walked onto the tracks without permission, MTA said.
His condition wasn't immediately known.
After the man was struck, service was suspended on the Port Washington branch.
Delays are still expected for trains stopping at the branch's 13 stations between Woodside in Queens and Port Washington on Long Island.
Meanwhile, authorities say a 40-year-old man died after he was struck by a LIRR train Sunday morning on the Babylon branch.
LIRR spokesman Aaron Donovan tells Newsday the man was hit Sunday morning at the Freeport station. The man was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he later died.

Authorities didn't immediately identify either of the men.
Both incidents are under investigation.
