Police: Dad in Custody After Taking Kid

A man suspected of abducting his 3-year-old boy in Brooklyn is in custody after he and the child were found in New Jersey.

Police said the suspect, Jacob Laslo, took off with the child, Ferrari Tiesto Stojka, after assaulting the boy’s mother in the Midwood section, near Ocean Parkway and Avenue P.

Police said Laslo had not seen his biological son for two years.

They were found a few hours later in Elizabeth, N.J. Authorities said the child was in good condition.

It was not immediately known whether Laslo had a lawyer.

Just days ago, an 8-year-old boy was abducted in the nearby Borough Park neighborhood. His body was found dismembered. A hardware supply clerk has been arrested in that boy's killing.
