Police Find Brooklyn Woman With Down Syndrome Who Went Missing

A nonverbal woman with Down syndrome who wandered away from her caretakers in downtown Brooklyn Saturday has been found safe.

Danielle Selig, 44, went missing around midday, after having last been seen at Livingston Street and Gallatin Place, police say.

Police say Selig, who lives in a center for people with developmental disabilities in Greenpoint, was with a group headed to a therapy session.

She was found Monday morning in the basement of a church.
