A new poll is showing Mayor de Blasio with the one of the lowest approval ratings of his term.
De Blasio has a 41 percent job approval rating in the Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday. That is down from 50 percent in the pollster's last survey in January.
And 52 percent of the voters polled say that de Blasio, a first-term Democrat, does not deserve re-election. Only 37 percent say they would award him another term.
Earlier this year, an NBC 4 New York/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll found that just 35 percent of surveyed voters approved of the job the mayor was doing.
The poor poll results come after weeks of bad press for de Blasio stemming from several controversies. They include a joint federal and state probe into his campaign fundraising activities.
In a released Wednesday, 55 percent of surveyed voters said they thought the mayor "does favors for developers who make political contributions to campaigns in which he is involved." But 55 percent of those voters said they thought the actions were unethical but not illegal.
A mayoral spokeswoman downplayed the results saying "the only thing less reliable than the weather is a poll."

The two polls each surveyed 1,038 voters and had margins of error of 3 percentage points.
