NJ Candy Shop Owner Shot in Struggle With Gunman: Police

The owner of a New Jersey candy shop was shot during a struggle with an armed gunman inside the store Monday afternoon, police said. 

The gunman walked into the MS and K store at 745 Prospect St. at about 1:30 p.m. and demanded cash, according to police. The two engaged in a struggle, and the owner was shot in the torso. 

He was taken to University Hospital. He's expected to be OK.
