    A man was killed in a fire that broke out early Sunday in a Brooklyn apartment, officials said.

    Edzer Desir, 44, apparently died of smoke inhalation, according to police.

    The blaze broke out at around 4 a.m. on East 49th Street in East Flatbush.

    It was under control less than an hour later, fire officials said.

    Three people suffered minor injuries.
