A thief armed with a handgun stole more than $3,000 from a Bronx liquor store Saturday night, authorities said.
The suspect entered the DeStem Wines and Spirits liquor store near Allerton and Colden Avenues in the Allerton neighborhood shortly after 10:30 p.m., according to police.
He approached a 43-year-old employee, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The employee complied and handed over roughly $3,300 to the armed suspect.
In addition to the large sum of cash, the suspect swiped three cellphones, a cordless phone and a bottle of Hennessy before fleeing the store, authorities said.
