Police are searching for two burglars who were captured on security video breaking into a Greenwich Village restaurant and running off with over $1,000.

The men broke into the eatery at 79 MacDougal St. while it was closed at about midnight Sunday, according to police. Video shows the suspects breaking down what police say was the door to the office, where they stole $1,000 and then ran away.

One of the suspects appeared to be carrying a black handgun, police said. No one was hurt.
