A Connecticut woman was killed by her father, who then tried to take his own life, police said today.
Amanda Dobrzanski, 20, was found dead in her back-country Greenwich, Conn., home Wednesday night -- killed at the hands of her father, who Greenwich Police say attempted to commit suicide after the attack. Adam Dobrzanski, 55, was arrested for her murder.
The attempted murder-suicide was discovered by police responding to check on an individual at the home on Sterling Road. After entering, they followed a blood trail to a locked room where they discovered the father suffering multiple wounds to his arm and a slice to his neck.
They then discovered the younger Dobrzanski dead in another room. They say she had a large slice to her neck which caused massive blood loss.
Thursday morning, as he was released from a local hospital, police arrested and charged Adam Dobrzanski. His arrest warrant has been ordered sealed by a court order.
