UPDATE: Wind-Swept Bricks, Glass Table Plunge From NYC Buildings in Storm
Two people were hurt after they were hit by falling debris on Manhattan's West Side on Tuesday morning, authorities say.
The two victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital after authorities say the debris fell to the ground in front of a building at Seventh Avenue and West 39th Street in the Garment District, according to the FDNY.
It's not clear what fell, but there is a large amount of glass at the scene.
Both victims are expected to survive their injuries, authorities say.
The office of emergency management tweeted later Tuesday that wind gusts of 40 mph were reported in the city and urged pedestrians and motorists to exercise extra caution.
