Easter Events and Egg Hunts Across New York City

Easter events and egg hunts will be taking place across the city Saturday and Sunday. Here's a look at just some of them.

Manhattan

Easter Parade & Bonnet Festival (Sunday, April 16)

The annual Easter parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 16. The parade down Fifth Avenue starts at 49th Street. Spectors come decked in the Easter attire and decorated bonnets to watch the parade. Find out more information about the event here.

Children’s Museum of Manhattan (Saturday, April 15 & Sunday, April 16)

The museum is ditching the traditional egg hunt this year. Children will search for egg icons with the museum’s characters. They will be able to record where they located the treasure in a scavenger hunt booklet and win a prize at the end of the hunt. All ages are welcome. Find out more information about the event here.

Queens

Sixth Annual Hunt the Egg (Saturday, April 15)

The Sixth Annual Hunt the Egg will have two events in Queens Saturday. The event is free for children under 12 years old. There will be door prizes and a coffee bar for adults. Find out more information about the event here

Queens Zoo Spring Eggstravaganza (Saturday, April 15 & Sunday, April 16)

The weekend event will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. There will be appearances by the Easter Bunny and crafts for children. Find out more information about the event here.

Brooklyn

Ashford Learning Garden (Saturday, April 15)


Ashford Learning Garden will be hosting an egg hunt on Saturday, April 15. The event will be from 2-3 p.m. Children will be able to find eggs filled with treats and make arts and crafts. Find out more information about the event here.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt (Saturday, April 15)

Sen. Martin Golden will be hosting his annual egg hunt at Shore Road Park. The event will have games, music, activities and prizes. The event will be from 2-4 p.m. Find out more information about the event here.

The Bronx

 

 Early Literacy: Easter Egg Hunt (Saturday, April 15)


The Sedgwick branch of the New York Public Library will host an egg hunt for children younger than five years old. Eggs will be hidden throughout the library. There will also be a “bunny storytime” portion of the event. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. Find out more information about the event here.

Historic Richmond Town Easter Egg Hunt (Saturday, April 15)

The egg hunt kicks off at 10 a.m. Children will bring cardboard egg containers to decorate before they hunt for eggs. The children will also be able to meet the Easter Bunny. Guests will need to pay in advance to reserve their spot at the event. Find out more information about the event here.
