Police say they've arrested a Connecticut man after allegedly finding more than 10,000 pornographic images of children on his laptop.
Ranjer Gonzalez is charged with first-degree possession of child pornography and importing child pornography, according to the Stamford Police Department.
His arrest comes after police say they found out in August that someone at a multifamily building on Greenwich Avenue was downloading child porn.
Police went to the house with a search warrant on Friday and found that the only modem in the house was in Gonzalez’s bedroom, police said.
The 34-year-old man initially denied involvement with child porn, but police said he was trying to hide a laptop under his bed. When authorities analyzed it, they allegedly found 18 pornographic videos and 11,400 images featuring children.
Gonzalez is being held on $150,000 bond. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
Police say they also called the state Department of Children and Families because a 3-year-old girl was in the room next to Gonzalez’s.
