A utility crew is working to repair a damaged gas line in Clifton, New Jersey after a contractor accidentally hit it Tuesday afternoon.
PSE&G said the contractor was working near 540 Van Houten Ave. when they hit the gas line.
The utility is turning off the gas, and gas service will be interrupted to one building while the crew makes repairs, the company. The work is expected to be completed over the evening.
