An 85-year-old woman was violently robbed in her Manhattan apartment last Sunday, police said.
According to authorities, a man in his 20s followed the victim from the elevator of her building in Chinatown and pushed her to the floor as she entered her apartment. He then removed an undetermined amount of money from her as well as from her apartment before fleeing.
The victim refused any medical attention, officials said.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspect (see above) and are currently questioning a person of interest.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
