No other details were provided about Cathy Lu, the girl police want to speak to

Police are looking to speak with a girl in connection with the baby found abandoned outside a housing development in Queens late Sunday.

Police would not provide any other details about Cathy Lu, the girl being sought for questioning.

At about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, a passerby heard a baby crying at the Woodside Houses at 50-07 Broadway and found a newborn baby girl wrapped in a sheet in a grassy area, with its umbilical cord cut, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Monday. She was a few hours old.

The baby, weighing 6 pounds and 6 ounces, was staying at Elmhurst Hospital.

"The baby seems to be in excellent shape," Kelly said Monday.
