Cars Crash into Wendy's in New Jersey, 3 Hurt: Police

Three people were hurt when two cars crashed into a Wendy's restaurant in Paramus, New Jersey, police say.

Police said the vehicles lost control and crashed into the restaurant on Route 4 at about 5 p.m.

The drivers and a customer inside the restaurant were hurt. The extent of their injuries wasn't immediately clear.

It's the second time this summer that a car has barreled into the fast food restaurant. In June, an SUV crashed into the same eatery, injuring one person. Repairs has just been completed from that crash.

"It's one of those lightning doesn't strike twice kind of things -- you wouldn't imagine the same scenario, I mean the same angle," said Susan Kelesh of Fairlawn.

Kelesh said she was sitting in the impact zone hours before the crash, eating inside.

"We arrived today and said, 'Wow, look, the glass is almost back to normal,'" she said, referring to the construction work done after the June incident. "And just three hours later, we passed and saw two vehicles inside."

"After the second time, unless they put up some type of barricade hold that would keep a vehicle from coming through, I don't know if we'll come back," she said.

Restaurant management did not want to comment Thursday.
