Bus Full of Kids Headed to Aquarium Crashes into Pickup Truck: Cops

Four children, four adults who had been on the bus, and the driver of the truck the bus hit were taken to the hospital

A bus taking nearly three dozen children and 10 adults from the Bronx to visit the Riverhead Aquarium on Long Island collided with a pickup truck as it neared the marine center, injuring nine people, police said.

Four children, four adults on the bus and the pickup truck driver were taken to the hospital with what police described as "non life-threatening injuries" after the accident Wednesday.

The bus, which is owned by Consolidated Bus Transit, was impounded for a safety inspection. It wasn't clear where in the Bronx the bus was coming from.

A voicemail left with the bus company was not immediately returned.
