A mother was seriously injured and her 3-year-old daughter was killed after the two were hit by a car in New Jersey on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The mother and child were crossing the road at Park Avenue and West Second Street in Plainfield when they were hit by a car headed south on Park Avenue, police said.
Footage from the scene showed a red sedan and a baby stroller inside a perimeter of police tape.
It's not clear if the child that was killed was in the stroller.
The driver of the car wasn't hurt and remained at the scene. No arrests have been made.
