Police are searching for a man who attempted to kidnap a woman in Brooklyn last week when he pointed a gun at her and ordered her to get in his minivan. 

The 23-year-old victim was at the corner of Bergen Avenue and Avenue K in Canarsie at about 2 a.m. Monday, July 22, when the suspect drove up alongside her in a dark-colored minivan, police said.

He pointed a gun at her and demanded she get in the vehicle, according to police. The victim ran away, and the suspect fled the scene.
