Bronx Teen Lured to Stabbing Death: NYPD

Two suspects were arrested Saturday in connection with the stabbing death of a Bronx teen who police say was lured to his death by a girl's Facebook message.

Ricardo Romero, 17, was found by police at about 7 p.m. Friday bleeding from wounds to his head and stomach, investigators said. One officer performed CPR at the scene, a building on East 182nd Street in the Bronx, while the other officer called for an ambulance.

Romero, who family said had moved to New York from Mexico nine years ago, was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Romero went to the building after being contacted on Facebook by a 17-year-old girl, whom police haven't identified. Surveillance video shows Romero was attacked by two men just after meeting the girl.

Family members told NBC 4 New York that Romero's cell phone was stolen by his attackers. The cell phone didn't work, they added.
