Team Christina

Sylvia Yacoub, who gave up pursuing a career in law to be on the show, decides to tackle Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire," and Ron Fair says he sees something special in the 19-year-old. Host Carson Daly says Sylvia "set the bar rather high" and the coaches agree: Cee Lo calls it a "great song choice," Adam calls it her "most polished and refined performance," and Blake adds that people will have a hard time forgetting her performance, even though she went first. "You just made me so proud," Christina says.

Soulful cutie Dez Duron is the final performer of the night and he decides to take on "Feeling Good" to show depth as an artist. "The question is can he touch your heart?" Fair asks. Dex admits he feels pressure to stay in the competition for his coach, as Christina has a chance of being finished in the competition this week. After the ladies in the audience finally calmed down, Cee Lo says that he "loved" the performance and Blake congratulates Dez and Christina for figuring out where he fits musically. "I am so proud of my team," Christina gushes.

Team Blake

Scottish rocker Terry McDermott tackles "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams and during their rehearsal Hendricks predicts that he'll "bring the house down." Terry's rendition of the classic song earns him a standing ovation from Blake. ("Cheers, boss!" Terry says to that!) Christina says Terry is "fun to watch" and calls him out for singing while on his tip toes, Cee Lo gushes that he's "such a fan" of the rocker and Adam admits he gets "angry" whenever he watches Terry perform as he really wanted him on his team. After saying he almost sent Terry a "loving" email this week, Blake thanks Terry for choosing him as his coach.

Former Hey Monday frontwoman Cassadee Pope decides to show off her sensitive side, performing Blake's song "Over You," which he wrote with his wife Miranda Lambert about the loss of his brother; Cassadee relates the song to her great-grandfather, whom she lost when she was nine-years-old. "I'm nervous I'm gonna cry when I sing it," she says. Blake's response? "I'm nervous I'm gonna cry when you sing it!" Her emotional performance earns her a standing ovation from Blake and Christina, who calls it a "special moment" for Cassadee. "Your voice was flawless tonight," Cee Lo says, while Adam compliments her versatility. "You made me feel like I was hearing it for the first time," a proud Blake says. "Ladies and gentlemen, you're looking at an artist."

Team Adam

Adam chooses The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" for 17-year-old Melanie Martinezand he tells her, "You need to surprise people...you need to show more of your power." After her performance, Blake says he was glad to see Melanie play an instrument again and admits he wishes he could work with her and Cee Lo calls her version of the song one of the coolest things that's happened this season. While Christina calls her "cool and unique," she admits wants to see Melanie push herself more.

New York rocker Bryan Keith is taking on Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind," which he says he's "proud to sing." While Adam says it's a tough song to take on, he's confident that it will help viewers learn more about Bryan. Blake praises his performance, saying, "I'm becoming a really big fan of yours." Christina admired Bryan's connection to the song and Cee Lo says loves "the strength" in his voice. (Well, he says he "sings like a man's man," to be exact!) Adam tells Bryan, "You did that song justice."

Amanda Brown takes on Grace Potter's "Stars," which Adam believes will really catapult his contestant "into the stratosphere." Amanda's emotional performance (she teared up at the end of it) wows the coaches, with Blake telling her, "That performance is the way I would want to be introduced to that song." Christina calls the performance "beautiful," and Cee Lo's "favorite mistake" impressed him yet again.

Team Cee Lo

"This is a moment," Cody Belew says when he sees Jennifer Hudson in the rehearsal room with Cee Lo. He decides to tackle Beyonce's "Crazy in Love," but "with a little Cody twist." (In an interesting critique, Jennifer says Cody's personality is "more memorable" than his voice.) The twist? A little dance number at the end, where Cody (kind of) shook his groove thang. 'You're awesome!" Adam says. "You're so cocky, but in the best way. You make me look humble." Blake says, "I really enjoyed that and I'm confused, in a good way!" Christina says Cody "worked it like a true diva!" and coach Cee Lo tells Cody, "I love you so much, dude!"

Nicholas David, has a similar reaction to seeing the "Dreamgirls" star: "Holy buckets, that woman is Jennifer Hudson!" The feeling was mutual, as Jennifer says, "I love Nicholas," after hearing the "soul" in his voice. Nicholas' performance of "Lean On Me" earns him a standing ovation from Cee Lo and a lot of love from the other coaches. "I love how ambitious your song choices are. Bravo," Adam says, while Blake proclaims this "the best night of The Voice we've ever had" and calls Nicholas "a legend." Christina calls the performance "soothing," like "chicken noodle soup."

Trevin Hunte tells Hudson, "God, you're beautiful!" as soon as he walks into his rehearsal. When he tells Jennifer and Cee Lo that he wants to sing Usher's "Scream," they are against it at first, but his voice wins them over. "I truly believe you can sing anything and it will sound good," Adam says, adding that this wasn't his favorite Trevin moment. However, Christina says this was her favorite Trevin moment. Cee Lo says he loved seeing his contestant "alive, young, happy and confident."
