Winner of this year's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award, Sophie Theallet's dresses and separates have earned her not only high marks from retailers, but also from a certain First Lady. We visited her Brooklyn studio.

News of a collaboration between CFDA winner (and Thread NY favorite) designer Sophie Theallet and Nine West hit Fashionologie late Wednesday, including details about handbags, shoes, and even necklaces.

The story was since removed, however, and when we reached out for comment, Theallet's press representatives informed us that they were not yet ready to to give any information. Considering the designer's formidable talent, we're hopeful that the partnership brings the worthy Theallet more national exposure.
