Mary Katrantzou for Topshop

The bold prints and acid bright colors preferred by designer Mary Katrantzou are not for the weak of heart--nor the weak of budget. We've long admired her sculptural trompe l'oeil dresses featuring blown-up images of perfume bottles, or dazzling gemstones, but the price tag always kept them firmly out of reach.

Topshop has a reputation for scooping up some of the industry's most experimental designers for mainstream collabs. Christopher Kane,  Ann-Sofie Back, Ashish, and Jonathan Saunders have all thrown their hat into the fast-fashion ring, and we were thrilled to hear that Katrantzou will be the latest addition to the roster. A collection of four jersey pieces is slated to hit stores late February, and will feature many of the same jewelry graphics she used in her infamous Central St. Martin's graduate collection. At just $70 a pop, we could definitley use some more pop-art glitz in our wardrobe.

Visit Topshop's Soho location at 478 Broadway.  If you haven't seen Katrantzou's latest collection, visit her website at www.marykatrantzou.com--we can't wait to see what she has in store for A/W 2010.
