Diane von Furstenberg's Model Goodwill Gets Honored

At AmfAR's 25th anniversary black-tie event next month, Bill Clinton won't be the only president receiving an honor for his contributions to the AIDS foundation. CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg will also be awarded the Award of Courage, along wth Elizabeth Taylor, each for their "vital and distinctive contributions to the global struggle against HIV/AIDS," as described by the organization's chairman, Kenneth Cole.

A little while back we reported on von Furstenberg's endless sense of altruism. Obviously, she hasn't tapped out yet—not even close, we're guessing—which only goes to show that being compassionate and charitable never goes out of fashion.
