ICON: Diane von Furstenberg went from creating her first humble wrap dress in 1972 (the same year she divorced Prince Egon of Furstenberg and gave up her title of Princess) to dominating the world of fashion (and the world, period) with her luxe lifestyle brand. The designer talks life, chance and career with legendary magazine helmer Norman Pearlstineat the 92nd Street Y. 8:15PM.

OLD COUNTRY: Indie folk quartet The Low Anthem may call Rhode Island home, but their rebooting of Americana and roots music sounds like something from points more southernly (not for nothing did Emmylou Harris tap them to open for her on tour). They perform at Lincoln Center as part of the American Songbook series, and let’s just hope they’ve brought their singing saw along. 8:30PM.

SHOPPORTUNITY: The drapey men’s and women’s neutrals of Rogan have melted many a credit card that we know of, so a sale going on at their Bowery store is always good news. Even better: Every Thursday this month, there’s a happy hour at the shop involving live music, complimentary cocktails and a 30% discount. In other words, a very happy hour indeed. Rogan, 330 Bowery at Bond Street; 646-827-7567, 6-8PM.
