Eagles' Westbrook Stays Rested, But Samuel Practices

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Eagles running back Brian Westbrook stayed on the sideline for Thursday's practice, but All Pro cornerback Asante Samuel was a full participant in the session, as Philadelphia prepares for Sunday's NFC Divisional Playoff battle with the New York Giants.

Westbrook has battled numerous injuries throughout a season that saw him miss two games early on. The Eagles' leading rusher (936 yards) and touchdown maker (11 total) is currently nursing a knee injury that caused him to be listed as questionable for last Sunday's Wild Card bout with Minnesota.

Samuel, who missed Wednesday's practice, was also questionable for that playoff tilt with a hip injury, but both players came through with key touchdowns despite the ailments in Philadelphia's 26-14 win.

Starting fullback Dan Klecko and offensive tackle Jon Runyan have sat out the past two practice sessions with shoulder and knee problems, respectively.

Guard Shawn Andrews, who hasn't played since September after undergoing back surgery, was again a limited participant in practice for the second straight day, while defensive end Victor Abiamiri, who has missed the past two weeks with a foot injury, took part in all defensive snaps on Thursday.
