NHL Game Summary – New Jersey at Florida

Sunrise, FL (Sports Network) - Tomas Vokoun made 36 saves to record his fifth shutout of the season as Florida upended New Jersey, 4-0, at BankAtlantic Center.

Stephen Weiss and Richard Zednik posted a goal and one assist each for the Panthers, who have won four of their last five games.

Scott Clemmensen allowed four goals on 28 shots for the Devils, whose four- game win streak was ended. In addition, New Jersey had its seven-game road win streak snapped. The club had not lost as the visitor since January 11 at Anaheim.

Weiss beat Clemmensen on a high wrister off a Bryan McCabe rebound only 4:18 into the contest, and Florida added two more scores in the second.

Zednik clicked on the power play at 11:27, and he set up Horton to make it 3-0 for the Panthers at 14:05.

Cory Stillman put the exclamation point on the victory by one-timing a Weiss dish for an even-strength tally with 2:54 remaining in regulation.
