The San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles got their first losses of the 2023 season.

Both teams kept their unbeaten records alive after Week 5 wins, but they fell to 5-1 against gritty teams.

But first, with the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers as the lone teams on their bye week, the Denver Broncos (1-5) lost to the Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) to begin the action on Thursday Night Football.

Sunday morning began early in London for the third straight week, with the Baltimore Ravens (4-2) defeating the Tennessee Titans (2-4) in a 24-16 final score.

The early window featured seven matchups, with the 49ers (5-1) losing their first game on the road against the Cleveland Browns (3-2). The Seattle Seahawks (3-2) lost a close game to the Cincinnati Bengals (3-3) while the Indianapolis Colts (3-3) were blown out by the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) face off in an important divisional matchup.

Four matchups occurred in the late window, with the Eagles (5-1) also losing their perfect start on the road against the New York Jets (3-3). Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions (5-1) headed south and picked up a smooth win vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) to turn more heads.

Sunday Night Football saw the New York Giants fall to 1-5 under the lights on the road against the Buffalo Bills (4-2) after the last-second play didn't go in Tyrod Taylor's way.

The week concluded with the Dallas Cowboys (4-2) picking up a close road win vs. the 2-3 Chargers on Monday Night Football.
