The New York Yankees' April 8 home game against the Miami Marlins will quite literally be a stellar experience.
Five minutes after the two teams gear up for play at 2:05 p.m. ET on Monday, April 8, a total solar eclipse is expected to hit the Bronx. This will be the first total solar eclipse in New York since 1925.
Fans will be able to see the moon touch the edge of the sun, casting a substantial shadow for likely another two hours and 26 minutes over Yankee Stadium. The deepest point of the eclipse with the majority of the sun to be hidden is expected to be at 3:25 p.m. ET.

Yankee Stadium is celebrating the exciting celestial experience with special T-shirts, which will be available to the first 15,000 fans.
The next total solar eclipse will not be until Aug. 23, 2044, according to NASA.
