About 100 members of the media, dodged raindrops this afternoon to hear Tiger speak for the first time since his divorce became finalized and since his wife, Elin spilled her guts to People magazine.
"My actions led us to this decision and I certainly made a lot of errors in my life and that's something I have to live with," said Tiger at the mini-press gathering, following his Pro-Am round in The Barclays at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, N.J.
Elin said "she's been through hell," in an interview with People magazine out today.
When asked about her remarks, Tiger said, "I certainly understand that she is sad and I feel the same way."
Woods also spoke about his golf game which has been nothing but a source of frustration to him this year. He has not won a tournament in nine events and has posted just two Top 10 finishes.
The fallen golfer said he is looking to show improvement in the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs which begin in Jersey on Thursday. He was cooperative and contrite -- and tried to convey how difficult this year has been.
Overall, Woods answered every question, except one that he was asked twice by a reporter: "Do you still love her?"
