Giants Game Brings Some Relief From Storm Damage

NFL fans still turned out for the game

Courtney Davis has no idea what her house looks like because her town was washed away by Superstorm Sandy.

Yet she's at the Meadowlands on Sunday for Steelers-Giants.

Jim Turbek had 30 inches of water in his basement, even though he lives nowhere near the shore. He's at the game.

Plagued by no power in their homes, gas lines for their cars that stretched for blocks and insurance issues that could last months, NFL fans still turned out for the game. One even displayed a pumpkin with "We Will Survive" written on it.

As Davis said, "We need this. We could really use this game and having a good time."

A few yards away, Kathleen Marzolla jumped up and down and proclaimed "We've got power back. We've got power" about her Hoboken home.
