Police: 11 Arrested at Occupy DC Site

Police arrested 11 protesters in Washington's McPherson Square after clearing one of the country's last remaining Occupy sites. David Schlosser, a spokesman for the U.S. Park Police, said Sunday that one person accused of hitting an officer in the face with a brick Saturday night was charged with felony assault on a police officer and assault with a deadly weapon. The officer was treated at a hospital. Three others were charged with assault on a police officer. Officials were still clearing the park of unsanitary conditions Sunday, Schlosser said. The protesters vowed on Saturday night to continue their movement peacefully.
