Holiday Homecoming: Last Iraq Troops Home

Only about a dozen U.S. combat soldiers are still in Iraq, with the last bunch of the 100,000 or so service members arriving in Fort Hood on Christmas Eve. About 200 soldiers of the 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division were greeted by hugs and kisses at the Texas military base Saturday. Capt. Jessica Dawson's husband, 1st. Sgt. Scott Dawson, was one of those soldiers and she said she was thrilled to have him home. "He's missed a lot of birthdays and holidays, but you don't dwell on what you missed, and [the children] are little enough that they won't remember he wasn't here," she told The Associated Press.
